Hi Everyone,

I’ve been very passionate about Emacs for the past year and have been writing aritcles on my blog about Emacs. I’m wondering if there’ll be an general interest in discussing about text editors, such as topics like:

  1. Which text editors you are using,
  2. Questions or tutorials about a particular text editor.
  3. Else?

感想：vim是個坑，沒事不要跳，一旦對vim的習慣根深蒂固就沒有回頭路了，偏離主流太多了。如果工作被迫使用Python，而且被迫使用像Jupyter Notebook，Google Colab這些這幾年流行的東西，會很痛苦，他們沒有好的vim替代方案。更慘的是一些跟瀏覽器衝突的快捷鍵，譬如CTRL+W，很習慣在瀏覽器裏打字打一打想刪除前面的單字，就順手CTRL+W，然後瀏覽器就關了，剛剛打到一半的東西就沒了，真的會想摔電腦。

感謝分享！
我也是覺得習慣了 Vim keybindings 和 modal editing 之後就會很喜歡，
不管到哪裡都會想用。

我在 Emacs 裡也是繼續使用大部分的 Vim keybindings，
但有些很方便的 Emacs keybindings 我同時也會使用，
像是 C-f, C-b, C-n (CTRL+n), C-p, C-a, 和 C-e，
因為這些很巧的在 OSX 上幾乎所有的 App 也通用。

我因為關瀏覽器是 S-w (command+w) 或 S-q (command+q)
所以好險沒有你的困擾 :sweat_smile:

我看了你的 Github profile 發現你也有許多有關 Python 的 projects，

我的 .vimrc 是用公司預設的，只有換喜歡的顏色主題。當初會想學Vim，主要是 ssh 到伺服器上比較方便，可以直接用 Vim編輯（因為 Linux 都會有 Vim or Emacs)。對 Robotics 好像也滿方便的？如果板子上也裝 Linux

Vim 真的無所不在，而且不用任何額外設定就很好用！我也很習慣在 ssh 進入 server 後使用 vim。
相較之下我就不太可能使用別人的 emacs 因為我有非常多的設定是只有我才這樣使用的，如果使用別人的 emacs 我的 muscle memory 會完全失靈。很多Linux distro 好像也沒有內建 emacs。

我有使用過！ 覺得他ssh跟docker的功能還蠻好用的～
